Gratian was born in Karachi, Pakistan and raised in Brampton, Ontario, Canada.

He is currently a Toronto- based independent visual artist who works in traditional and digital drawing/painting, experimental animation, and is an emerging muralist. Gratian's work blends sci-fi, psychedelia, urban mysticism with Eastern and Western pop culture, spirituality, and music- especially hip-hop, jazz and world. His work features imaginary characters, animals, people, abstractions, as well as fan art inspired by the 80’s & 90’s.

Since May 2022, the artist has actively been a part of markets, group shows, conventions and live art performances in Toronto and the GTA.

When Gratian isn’t making art he is practicing and playing music, hanging out in Toronto parks with his partner and fellow artist/illustrator Emily Dakin and their cat Deo.

The artist is a recent graduate with a BFA in Drawing and Painting and specialization in the Digital Painting & Expanded Animation program at
OCAD University in September 2021.
